Commissioned Composer of the Year
Ellen Schwindt has been chosen as the NH Commissioned Composer for 2012. Her work Trio for Flute, Saxophone and Piano, will be premiered at the 2012 NHMTA State Conference at Keene State College, on Saturday, October 6. Congratulations, Ellen!

Granite State Competition
The 2013 Granite State Competition will be held on Saturday, April 20, at Plymouth State University, Plymouth, NH, with the Winners' Recital to be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the Concord Community Music School in Concord, NH.
The 2013 Evaluations will again be held at all five sites and the composer of the yer will be Robert Vandall. Please see the 2012-2013 NHMTA Yearbook, the February 2013 Newsletter, or the NHMTA website for further information or contact the State Evaluations Chair, Meagan Maganti at firstname.lastname@example.org.
NHMTA is sponsoring the Fall Festival for the first time on November 10, 2012. The focus this year is on contemporary music. Please see details on the website: www.nhmta.net
MTNA State Competition
The New Hampshire MTNA State Competitions will be held at St. Paul's School in Concord, NH, on Saturday, November 17, 2012.
Fall State Convention
On Saturday, October 6, 2012, NHMTA will hold a State Conference at Keene State College. Guest speaker will be Jane McGrath.
There will also be a panel discussion with student/teacher members titled "I Wish I Knew Then.. ." The conference will be dedicated to Sr. Anita Marchesseault, a founding member of NHMTA.
